This powerful convening brings together Black birthworkers, advocates, clinicians, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders to advance Black birth equity and justice across California. We gather to collaborate, learn, strategize, and take bold action toward ensuring healthy, thriving Black families.

This year’s Summit continues under the leadership of Mashariki Kudumu and is co-hosted by the California Coalition for Black Birth Justice and the UCSF Center for Birth Justice, formerly the California Preterm Birth Initiative with support from a very talented and committed group of advisors. Together, we are Rooted in Action — building a future where Black families thrive.
